And just like that…we are already halfway through January of this brand spankin’ new year! 

I have been in ‘shed’ mode since Christmas. Cleaning the closets, organization of my kitchen (I still haven’t started on MY closet yet). 

The year ended on a strange high and low. Im still in the struggle to resolve it and so I streamline and seek guidance as I do this extremely satisfying work of creating space for the new things that will be arriving this year. 

God is in the details, in scrubbing of refrigerators, the washing of cups, the frying of bacon and eggs and in the sharing of excess we donate to others. 

God speaks as we open ourselves to letting go of what was before. Our most important choices are always ahead of us. What we cling to, the sticky self, dissolves as we release what we no longer need. 

The Chinese are very wise. The Year of the Snake began last January. The molting of last years skin is almost complete and in February we begin The Year of the Fire Horse, which comes every 60 years. I’m from Kentucky and feel that horse moving out of the comfort of its paddock, to the spot I will mount and we will move towards the race, coming into the starting gate, me wearing my most beautiful silks. We are ready for this. We will finish the course. We will win the race. We will wear the roses. We will not be weighed down by holding back. We will let go into the wind. We will laugh with delight in our purpose. We will leave our legacy.
