Waiting Well in Divine Timing

Patience is one of the hardest virtues, also one of the most important. Divine timing. In the fullness of time. God will not be rushed. We must wait. The liminal spaces are some of the most important in our lives. What we put into them set us up for the next chapter. The next adventure. The next harvest. Waiting is one of our most tricky spaces. We want what we want, and we (especially in America) have been told striving is the way, the truth and the life. God doesn’t work that way and doesn’t stoop to our demands. God knows the bigger picture and will arrive when the time comes, not before. We are told to rest, prepare and be alert and ready, but not to run ahead. When we run ahead…that’s when things go off course and we end up learning hard lessons which then circle us back to the path of patience. Never forget: the next choice is ALWAYS the most important choice you will ever make.
