Self-Portraits Paperback
Selfies are nothing new. Artists have painted self-portraits since the day we figured out, a la Narcissus, how to see ourselves in a mirrored surface. Rembrandt featured himself in a large amount of his paintings, including The Prodigal Son, where Rembrandt portrays himself as all three characters: the older son, the younger son, and, most importantly, the father. Vincent Van Gogh painted dozens of self-portraits. Leonardo Da Vinci, Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Gustave Courbet- each has found the need to express themselves with images of their own face, as if to say: I was here. I mattered.
Self-Portraits is a book of reflection and celebration, of the beauty of falling in love with oneself, and the magic that comes from embracing joy.

Funny and Thought Provoking
Kindle ReaderThis book is such a witty insight into the author. Fun poems (olives anyone?) interspersed with self-reflection. A beautiful reminder that in a world of selfish consumerism, we are not narcissistic for valuing ourselves. Would 100% give it more stars if that was an option."
